The Tunisian general Union of labor :
The Tunisian general Union of labor is a national and democratic trade unionist organization. It is independent from all the political organizations and gets its strength from the workers’ bases.
The central headquarters of the union is in the capital city Tunis and includes all the workers even the retired.
GOALS
- Unifying and organizing all the workers including the retired ones, on the national scale.
- Improving their economic and social conditions, enlarging their awareness and defending their materials interests.
- Doing their best to :
a-Make a national economy independent from any submission and just distribution of national wealth, which guarantees the ambitions of all the workers and social classes.
b- Defend the public and private liberties as well as intensifying the democratic values and the respect of all human rights.
c- Support the trade union of the workers’ of the Arab Maghreb Union (USTMA) and the international confederation of Arab trade unions (ICATU) in order to defend the rights of the Arab working class, economic complementariness and achieve the Arab unity and serve its causes.
d- Support the organization of the African trade unionist unity.
e-Cooperate with the international trade unionist movements according to the initiative of the Tunisian General Trade Union.
f- Support the suppressed trade unionist movements.
g- Support every people struggling to get back its sovereignty, decide about its future and support the struggle of the liberty movements in the world.
It is possible to create committees of support according to the goals mentioned above.
